Happy Birthday. It’s been years since we’ve shared the same room, but somehow you’ve never left the space you hold in my heart.
Every year I try to capture a little of your magic in these covers, and usually we lean into the laughs. But this year felt different. This year called for something stronger — a tribute to the Power Issue version of you.
I see you, Renée. I know the weight you’ve carried since losing your anchor, and as someone who has stood in those same shoes, I am in awe of your resilience. You are a “Rosie” in every sense of the word — flexing that incredible strength, rocking those red glasses, and maintaining your legendary zero‑tolerance policy for nonsense.
From your high‑level energy to that infinity tattoo that says everything without saying a word, you are the perfect blend of compassion, confidence, and (let’s be honest) chocolate. You’ve stayed strong and “slightly dramatic” in the best way possible, and I wanted this cover to show the world exactly why everyone needs a Renée in their corner.
