The Velvet Onyx

The Strength of the Unseen

Meet Elias. For years, Elias felt pressured to be an open book, believing that to be “authentic” meant revealing every corner of his soul to everyone he met. He found himself exhausted by the performance of transparency, often feeling exposed and drained.

But the Velvet Onyx is the color of the midnight sky and the deep, silent sea—it is the joy of the private self. It was the moment he realized that his “wild side” didn’t need to be loud or visible to be powerful. He discovered the immense strength in mystery, in keeping a part of his spirit just for himself, and in the realization that true depth is often found in the shadows we choose to keep.

Sometimes, that happiness is found in the sanctuary of your own secrets and the quiet depths of your own mind. This is your reminder that you are not obligated to be understood by everyone, and that your mystery is a form of majesty.

What makes you feel beautiful when you are standing in your own private power, unseen but deeply felt?

Showing your authentic self includes the choice of what not to show. Your “wild side” is the sophisticated, untamable part of you that answers only to itself. The world is a better place when it contains depth, nuance, and the magnetic pull of those who know the value of their own silence.

The world is a better place for the mysteries you hold.
