My Kingdom Year: The Magic of ’63 in ’63

My Kingdom Year: The Magic of ’63 in ’63. A high-contrast, painterly image of a classic pinstripe baseball jersey draped over a wooden chair in a moody, candlelit library filled with old books—representing the quiet reflection of the writer’s lair.

My Kingdom Year: The Magic of ’63 in ’63

Part 1: The Official Manifesto

Sixty-three years ago today—May 15, 1963—the world was reaching for new heights.

That morning, Gordon Cooper launched into orbit, becoming the first American to spend an entire day in space. While he was orbiting the Earth, Jim Whittaker was standing on top of it, becoming the first American to summit Mt. Everest. The air was filled with the folk-harmony of Peter, Paul & Mary, and there was a palpable sense that the boundaries of what was possible were shifting.

As a philosopher, I spend a lot of time looking for the deeper meaning in the everyday. I analyze the shadows, the patterns, and the “why” behind the “what.” But I have to admit, I nearly missed the most profound alignment of my own life.

Until today, I thought this was just another birthday. But in the quiet of the Writer’s Lair, the numbers finally revealed a secret they’ve been keeping since 1963. I realized that I am stepping into my Kingdom Year.

In the world of math and mysticism, there is a rare phenomenon called a “Beddian Birthday.” It is a once-in-a-lifetime moment where the last two digits of your birth year perfectly align with the age you are turning. For me, the ’63 of my birth has finally met the 63 of my life. It is a mathematical full circle—a cosmic “handshake” between the year of my arrival and the weight of my experience.

In many traditions, this is called a Crown Year. It’s seen as a year of spiritual completion and “sovereignty.” It is the year where the philosopher becomes the king of his own experience. I’ve spent a lifetime watching the pinstripes on the field, but this year, I’m finally wearing the numbers that were meant for me all along.

The stars are still there, the mountains are still waiting, and the philosophy is just getting started.
