Empire Unexpected

Empire Unexpected

Written, photograph by Dennis Harvell

Stuck in the city on a cold evening, just wandering before heading home to the Bronx. I happened to catch this view near the Empire State — the colors, the atmosphere, it stopped me. I snapped this myself. People all around were moving — leaving work, meeting friends, just flowing through the night. And there I was, standing still, taking it in. The city doesn’t always wait for you… but sometimes, it lets you notice.
