He Who Refreshes Others Will Himself Be Refreshed

he who refreshes

There are moments when words arrive like a gift, reminding us of truths we’ve quietly carried. My sister’s message did that for me today. She spoke of how I’ve always been there for others—through hard times, through winters when we had little, through Christmas mornings when I made sure each sibling had something to unwrap, even if I had nothing for myself. I buried those memories deep, but her words brought them back, and with them both joy and tears.

The scripture she shared says, “He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” I see now that the small acts of care I offered were seeds planted in love, and today, through writing and reflection, I feel that refreshment returning. What was once sacrifice has become story, and what was once struggle has become a reminder that even in scarcity, there can be abundance of spirit.
